cottage is comprised of three bedrooms (one with double beds, one with twin beds, and one
childrens bedroom with bunk beds), one full bathroom (with shower only
no tub),
a living room, and a fully equipped, practical kitchen with dining area.
Pegs Thatched
Cottage is set on a small piece of land between the Puckane schoolhouse and the main
street of the village. Thanks to insulated windows and the cottages thick walls,
what minimum traffic travels the main road is not heard inside.
The well-equipped cottage includes a
washer-dryer, microwave, wood stove and color TV. Each room has a separately controlled
electric heater. Private, off-street parking is next to the cottage.

residing in
Puckane of the absentee owners serves as welcoming, informative hostess eager to help
visitors appreciate Tipperary and enjoy touring throughout the region.
THE SETTING: Pukane is a typical rural Tipperary town in the
scenic center of Ireland. Services in Pukane include a pub (which also serves lunches) and
a small grocery. |

a ten-minute drive from Puckane at the market town of Nenagh on the Dublin-Limerick road.
An excellent selection of eating placesranging from traditional Irish music pubs, to
trendy bistros, to elegant 4-star continental restaurantsis found in the area.
THE LOCATION: Pukane offers a wide variety of activities, especially touring,
walking, fishing, golf, and history. Nearby is central Ireland's biggest lake, Lough Derg,
which offers fishing, boating, swimming, |

walking around its perimeter. There are many castles and castle ruins in
the region, like the Rock of Cashel
and Birr Castle Demesne, as well as important ecclesiastic sites, like Clonfert and Clonmacnoise. |

Puckanes central location makes it a superb base from which to explore Ireland from
the border with Northern Ireland to the south coast and across the breadth of the island. Day trips throughout Ireland are easily accomplished from
Tipperary. But close by amid some of Irelands timeless rural scenery you will find excellent walking, superb fishing, and great golf on challenging
world-famous links and on friendly local courses. And, within easy day-trip reach, are the
dynamic cities of Limerick and Dublin. |
