"Killin, our town in Central Scotland, was a great location for kids because:
    • The town was small enough that our 8-year-old could run around on his own.
    • Our 3-year-old enjoyed visiting the town's lovely playground.
    • Both kids met Scottish children of their own ages there.
    • The swings in the backyard & the children's videotapes in the living room at the cottage.
    • Nearby Campbell, Stirling, and Doune Castles were great kid destinations.
    • The steam train from Fort William to Mallaig allowed our older boy to meet his 'Thomas
        the Tank Engine' needs, and afforded some spectacular views. The driver invited him
        into the engine and allowed him to shovel coal in the firebox."
